Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before making a booking. By confirming a booking with Bali Canyoning Trip, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms below.

These Terms & Conditions apply to all canyoning activities operated by Bali Canyoning Trip in Bali, Indonesia. They form the agreement between you and us from the moment your booking is confirmed.

01General Terms

General terms

Bali Canyoning Trip operates professionally guided canyoning activities in Bali. By booking with us, participants agree to:

  • Follow all safety briefings and guide instructions
  • Respect local nature and environment
  • Act responsibly toward guides and other participants

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions when necessary. The version in effect at the time of booking applies.

02Booking & Payment

Booking & payment

Booking confirmation

All bookings are handled manually through our booking form. A booking is confirmed only after:

  • Availability is approved by our team
  • A deposit payment has been received

Deposit

Deposit to secure your date
IDR 600,000
per booking · 1–4 participants

The deposit confirms your reservation and blocks guide availability for your group. It becomes non-refundable within 48 hours of the scheduled trip. The remaining balance is paid on arrival before the activity begins.

Failure to complete the deposit payment within the agreed timeframe may result in automatic cancellation of the booking.

03Cancellation & Rescheduling

Cancellation & rescheduling

We understand that travel plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair while protecting operational commitments.

Guest-initiated cancellation

More than 48 hours before
Free cancellation

Your deposit is refunded in full.

Within 48 hours of the trip
Deposit non-refundable

Cancellations this close affect guide scheduling, equipment preparation, transportation and reserved time slots.

Rescheduling

Rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled trip and are subject to availability. We will always try to accommodate date changes when possible.

Provider-initiated cancellation

If Bali Canyoning Trip cancels a trip due to unsafe weather conditions, operational safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances, guests will be offered:

  • Rescheduling to another available date, or
  • A full refund of the deposit

No additional compensation will be provided beyond the amount paid.

Activity interruption

  • If a guest chooses to discontinue the activity after transportation has begun or after the trip has started, no refund will be provided.
  • If the activity must be stopped due to safety concerns after it has commenced, this is considered a completed service.
  • Transport costs incurred on the day of the activity are non-refundable.
04Weather & Safety Decisions

Weather & safety decisions

Canyoning is a nature-based activity and depends on weather and water conditions. For safety reasons, Bali Canyoning Trip reserves the right to:

  • Adjust the itinerary
  • Change the canyon location
  • Delay the start time
  • Reschedule the activity
  • Cancel the trip if conditions are unsafe
Safety decisions are made by our guides and management team — and they are final.

These decisions are based solely on participant safety. If we cancel due to unsafe conditions, guests may choose:

  • A full refund of the deposit, or
  • Rescheduling to another available date
05Participant Requirements

Participant requirements

Participants must:

  • Be in good physical and mental condition
  • Be comfortable in natural outdoor environments
  • Be able to swim (basic level recommended)
Minimum age

Minimum age varies by trip and is stated on each individual trip page. Children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Your responsibility

Participants are responsible for honestly assessing their own physical ability before booking.

06Safety Rules & Responsibility

Safety rules & participant responsibility

All participants must:

  • Attend and follow the full safety briefing
  • Wear all provided safety equipment correctly
  • Follow guide instructions at all times

Participants must not join the activity under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that may impair judgment.

Bali Canyoning Trip reserves the right to refuse participation or stop the activity for safety reasons. In such cases, no refund will be provided if removal is due to unsafe behavior or failure to follow instructions.

07Insurance & Risk

Insurance & risk acknowledgement

Canyoning is an adventure activity that involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Slippery surfaces
  • Water currents
  • Jumping and rappelling activities
  • Natural terrain hazards

By participating, guests acknowledge and accept these inherent risks.

Insurance coverage is included where stated in the trip description — see coverage details. Guests are encouraged to have their own personal travel insurance.

08Personal Belongings

Personal belongings

Participants are advised not to bring valuables to the canyon. Bali Canyoning Trip is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during the activity.

Secure storage is available. For safety and peace of mind, we recommend not bringing unnecessary valuables.

09Photo & Media Usage

Photo & media usage

Photos and videos may be taken during the activity for:

  • Documentation
  • Marketing and promotional purposes
  • Social media content

If you do not wish to appear in media content, please inform our team before the activity begins. We respect guest privacy preferences.

10Force Majeure

Force majeure

Bali Canyoning Trip is not liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Extreme weather
  • Government restrictions
  • Road closures
  • Political unrest
  • Health emergencies

In such cases, we will work with guests to reschedule where possible.

11Limitation of Liability

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Indonesian law, Bali Canyoning Trip shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses
  • Personal decisions made against guide instructions
  • Pre-existing medical conditions not disclosed prior to the activity

Our liability is limited to the value of the booking.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion is not permitted by law.

12Governing Law

Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Indonesia, as Bali Canyoning Trip operates within Indonesian territory.

Any legal matters relating to our activities will be handled under Indonesian jurisdiction.
